Senzea wellness exercise

We use exercises consisting of a variety of gross motor movements such as pushing oneself up, bending, jumping, or swinging, using only one's body weight for resistance, performed rhythmically and without equipment.  

They are in essence body weight training. They are intended to increase body strength, body fitness, and flexibility, conducted in concert with stretches. Performed with variety, these exercises provide the benefits of muscular and aerobic conditioning, in addition to improving psychomotor skills, such as balance, agility and coordination.

Gross motor skills are the abilities usually acquired during infancy and early childhood as part of a child's motor development.

These gross movements come from large muscle groups and whole-body movement. These skills develop in a head-to-toe order.



After age 30, most functions begin to decline. Exercising regularly and maintaining a healthy lifestyle can slow this process.

Aging individuals who are active and biologically healthy perform motor skills at a higher level than their less active, less healthy aging counterparts.



Glutes stretch

Begin on all fours. Place one foot underneath and across the trunk.

Keep the pelvis straight and extend the other leg straight back behind the trunk.

Hold the stretch for 40 seconds, then slowly return to the starting position.

Aim to complete 3 repetitions.



Sessions are 60 minutes in length.
